Driver Education Instructor Training
Teaching Driver Education is a rewarding opportunity and career that allows you to help teens and adults reach their dreams and goals in life. Remember when you first started driving? What an exciting time of your life! It can be fun to teach people something they are excited to learn. A Driver Education career is financially rewarding and offers a flexible way to make good money. New instructors start off making around 15$ per hour and can make up to 30$ per hour depending on what segments of driver ed they are teaching.
Stroia School of Driving is one of only 6 schools in the State of Michigan, approved by the Department of State, to teach Driving Instructor Preparation Courses. Our Instructors each hold a Masters of Education degree and have all the essential tools and experience to prepare new students to be successful teachers.
In order to receive a driver ed teaching certificate, the State of Michigan requires you to take all four courses we offer. Each course is about 3 weeks long and 30 hours each. The last of four is your student teaching where you will split 30 hours between classroom and behind the wheel teaching. A brief description for each class/course can be found below.
